I am thrilled with our December homeschool plans.
I always pin so many beautiful projects and ideas and then am disappointed in myself because I never get to them. Can you relate?
This year, I am keeping it SIMPLE -- I've chosen two very attainable goals - one for music and one for art.

First, we will be completing SQUILT Christmas Carols. This is a simple, fun study of five carols.
There are enough activities in this volume to stretch the entire month. It includes notebooking pages, supplemental activities, and ALL listening links you will need. No musical knowledge or expertise is required, I promise!
Second, (and I am SUPER EXCITED about this), we will be taking a mixed media online art class, Winter Wonderland.
This class, put together by my friend Alisha, is a 4 week ecourse that begins December 1. It consists of videos (that can be watched online at any time) and supply lists for each project. We will make projects for our own home, as well as Christmas cards and gifts, in several different media.
Seriously, I can't wait to get started with this. You see, it is for ADULTS AND CHILDREN (10 and up)! My kids and I will be working together, which is the most exciting part! Of course, you don't HAVE to take part with your kids, but I want to treat myself to some creativity in December.
You can visit the Winter Wonderland site to see all of the different projects you and your children can create. There are 20 PROJECTS IN ALL, and if you purchase the class you receive access to the site for one full year.
AND, if you purchase the class before December 1 you can save 25% - pay only $36 for quality art instruction and the opportunity to make beautiful art with your children.
This holiday season I'm vowing to be intentional about our time together - not to overschedule activities (inside our outside the house) and to simply enjoy a few meaningful projects. Between music and art - and of course some good books - I'm pleased with the plan in place for December!
Do you have any special fine arts plans for the holiday season? What are they?
